Closing in to the finish line

 Hello everyone,

Well, not exactly. Getting near enough to travel comfortably, I’ll probably have to finish it over a few more month’s. Anyway, after the maiden voyage, all seems to be working well still.

I finished up the ceiling trim, front and back at least. Came out pretty nice, not perfect but pretty nice.

We ended up using rope to trim out the ceiling and walls, it does a nice job, it’s a nice contrast, and I don’t have to figure out how to bend wood to fit!!

I also got the first cabinet/ shelf built over the kitchen. We now have storage and a light in the kitchen area, it seems to work well.

I have to go to the dentist this morning and have some teeth repaired in preparation for getting a new partial. What a pain in the ass, but be true to your teeth or they’ll be false to you!!

I have about two weeks before we go on our first long trip in Diego. I d like to get the two back shelves/ cabinets finished. Then I’d only have trimming to do when I get back. It’s been a long haul for this project and I’d like to get it done and get back to the bike.

We’ll, I think that’s all for now.

Talk to you soon,

Maiden voyage

 Hello everyone,

Well, we took Diego out for his mini maiden voyage. Just spent the night in the oldest son’s driveway. I believe he passed with flying colors.

Friday I hooked up all the 110 volt feed and circuit wires, went to test them and discovered I had hooked up the in and out wires in the wrong spot. I changed that around and all seems to be working fine.

Notice the drop light working in the picture? It’s plugged into the pop up cube. I finished the electrical cabinet yesterday and got the table mounted to it. It’s having some problems opening and closing so I’ll look at that this week and I think maybe start on the cabinets. I need the one over the kitchen done so we can have a light over the counter and a little food storage.

I just downloaded an app for the little fridge/ cooler. It reads in Celsius and I’d like it to read Fahrenheit. Also I have it set too warm so I'm going to see if I can set it through the app.

So far, I’m pretty pleased with the way it’s turning out, and the wife is pleased as well. It should be ready for Florida in a couple of weeks.

Well, I think that’s all for now.

Making big gains

 Hello everyone,

Starting to get it rolling. Got most of the electronics hooked up yesterday and today. I don’t have all the 110 put in but all of the 12 volt side is connected and working like it’s supposed to! Tomorrow I tackle the 110 volt side, I just need to run out in the morning and pick up a 50 amp main breaker.

Now here are the pics I promised earlier this week.

The top pic shows the “pop up” cube for electric for the coffee pot. In the bottom one you can see it pushed down and the sink. Like almost everything else, we had to move the k-cup holder for like the 4th time! The cooler slides out from under there and the damn lid wouldn’t open!!

I finished up trimming the step and the flooring out.

You don’t really notice it in the pics, but there a little place around the corner on the step that I also finished and didn’t take a pic of.

I got the SiriusXM receiver installed and the service turned on. TUNES!! I’m loving it!

I had to pull the driver’s seat out to hook up the dc-dc charger for the batteries. That’s all put back in. Took Diego to town and filled up with gas and made sure all the charging system was doing it’s thing and so far so good.

Had the moon shade on it yesterday, will have to get a small ladder to carry with us to put the magnets on the roof.

I believe I’m just a few days away from being able to take off for a few days as a maiden voyage.

We’ll I think that’s all for now.
